Department of Islamic Education

About the Department The Department of Islamic Education is one of the departments of the College of Education at the Islamic University in Najaf Al-Ashraf, established with the approval of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. The department seeks to achieve excellence in teaching, scientific research, and community service through the preparation of educational cadres distinguished in Quranic Islamic culture. The department focuses on instilling doctrinal and behavioral foundations in its students, and qualifying them academically and scientifically in accordance with the requirements of the labor market in the field of religious and educational teaching.

Department of Physical Education and Sports Sciences

About the Department The Department of Physical Education and Sports Sciences is one of the departments of the College of Education at the Islamic University in Najaf Al-Ashraf, established with the approval of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in 2013. The department aims to prepare qualified scientific cadres to work in the fields of physical education, sports training, and scientific research, in a way that serves the development of Iraqi sports and contributes to spreading sports culture and promoting the health of individuals and society.

Department of English Language Education

About the Department The Department of English Language Education is one of the departments of the College of Education at the Islamic University in Najaf Al-Ashraf, established by Ministerial Order No. (J H / 4212) on 16/9/2013. The department aims to prepare graduates proficient in English, capable of teaching it using modern methods, discovering and developing students' linguistic abilities, and qualifying translators and specialized cadres that meet the needs of the labor market.

About the College

The College of Education at the Islamic University in Najaf Al-Ashraf was established by Ministerial Order No. (J H / 4212) on 16/9/2013, to spread knowledge, enrich the daily life of the individual, stimulate motivation to use scientific thinking, and realize the effectiveness of sciences and knowledge and their role in societal development to create an appropriate environment for science and knowledge.

The college comprises three specialized academic departments: the Department of English Language Education, the Department of Physical Education and Sports Sciences, and the Department of Islamic Education. The college aims to prepare qualified educational cadres capable of advancing the educational process in Iraq.

College Mission and Objectives

Working on strategic plans and developing them, and using the best capabilities to attract students in line with the labor market.
Providing students with extensive scientific knowledge in all scientific and educational fields.
Working to develop the scientific research movement by selecting competent faculty and benefiting from research results in solving scientific problems.
Qualifying and preparing graduate students for labor market needs and the completion of postgraduate studies.
Developing and improving the capacities of teaching staff members.
Supporting cultural and scientific ties between the college and other scientific institutions including universities and community institutions, whether local, Arab, or international.
Providing consultations and studies that contribute to the development of education in partnership with relevant institutions.

Strategic Plan

The College of Education adopts a comprehensive strategic plan aimed at developing academic educational programs, enhancing scientific research, building partnerships with local and international educational institutions, and preparing qualified educational cadres that meet the needs of the labor market in the field of education.
