About the College The College of Law and Political Science is one of the colleges of the Islamic University in Najaf Al-Ashraf, established in 2018 following the ministerial order converting the Islamic University College into a university. The college comprises the Department of Law, whose establishment was concurrent with the founding of the Islamic University College in 2004. The college seeks to prepare specialized legal cadres equipped with legal culture and the values of justice and equality, capable of serving the judiciary, government institutions, and civil society organizations.
The College of Law is considered a scientific beacon for the dissemination of knowledge and the consolidation of legal principles, to create a generation armed with legal culture through modern scientific methods and curricula that keep pace with the spirit of modernity and development.
The College of Law and Political Science adopts a comprehensive strategic plan based on academic excellence, spreading legal, national, and humanitarian awareness, developing legal scientific research, enhancing partnerships with societal institutions, and sustaining the college at both institutional and academic levels.
