Islamic University, Najaf The College of Medical Technologies held a scientific seminar titled “Oxygen: Beneficial or Harmful?” in the presence of the Dean of the College, Prof. Dr. Abdul Majeed Al-Saadi, the Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs, Dr. Rahman Zubeida, a number of faculty members and researchers, as well as professors from the College of Pharmacy. The seminar was delivered by Prof. Dr. Ali Salim Abdul-Ridha, who addressed the importance of oxygen and its vital role, the impact of free radicals in the human body, and their relationship to genetic mutations and certain cancers, in addition to methods of preventing their adverse health effects. The event witnessed active engagement and scientific discussions, emphasizing the importance of promoting health awareness and enhancing scientific knowledge in the medical fields.
