
University President Receives Delegation from Najaf Disability and Special Needs Commission
Islamic University, Najaf University President, Prof. Dr. Ammar Abdul-Amir Al-Salami, received a delegation from the Commission for Persons with Disabilities and Special Needs, which included the Commission's director and several faculty members. The meeting aimed to discuss prospects for joint cooperation and to coordinate efforts in scientific, humanitarian, and service fields. During the meeting, the two sides discussed proposals to support and empower university students with disabilities and special needs. They explored ways to enhance their access to available educational and training programs, exchange expertise, and launch joint initiatives serving this vital segment of society. Both parties emphasized the importance of building effective, complementary partnerships to foster a supportive academic and community environment for individuals with disabilities and special needs, ensuring their active presence and role across various fields.
