
Islamic University in Najaf Al-Ashraf Signs Joint Cooperation Agreement with Iraqi High Commission for Human Rights
Islamic University, Najaf The Islamic University signed a joint cooperation agreement with the High Commission for Human Rights, as part of its efforts to strengthen institutional partnerships and openness to government institutions in a way that serves society and supports scientific and educational activities. The agreement was signed in the presence of the Director of the High Commission for Human Rights Office in Najaf Al-Ashraf, Mr. Firas Mohammed Rida, and the Head of the Human Rights Division, Mr. Abdul Karim Saleh Ali, along with a number of officials and academics. The agreement aims to expand areas of joint cooperation between the two sides through the organization of workshops, seminars, and scientific conferences, in addition to training courses designed to promote a culture of human rights and raise awareness of the importance of protecting fundamental rights and freedoms. This agreement reflects the university’s commitment to consolidating the culture of human rights and enhancing its academic and societal role through building effective partnerships with national institutions.
