About the Department The Department of Medical Laboratory Technologies is one of the departments of the Faculty of Medical Technologies at the Islamic University of Najaf Al-Ashraf. It prepares qualified specialists in medical laboratory analysis. The department was established following the approval of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research (Ref. J.H./3138, dated 8/31/2016), in response to the labor market’s need for specialized medical technicians. The department grants a Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Technologies (Pathological Analysis), with a four-year program combining intensive theoretical and practical training.

DepartmentHistory The Department of Medical Laboratory Technologies was established in 2016 under Ministerial Order No. (J.H./3138) on 8/31/2016, making it the first department to be founded within what would become the Faculty of Medical Technologies. The college was officially established in 2018 under Ministerial Order No. (T.H.A./K 6277) on 1/4/2018, and the department became part of it. The department has been equipped with modern laboratories, devices, and teaching aids to provide students and faculty with an optimal educational environment.
