Department Founding

The Department of Medical Device Technologies Engineering is one of the newly established departments at the Islamic University of Najaf Al-Ashraf for the academic year 2024-2025. It was founded pursuant to a letter from the Department of Private University Education at the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, based on the urgent need of Iraq's healthcare sector for this precise specialization.

The department aims to supply the healthcare sector with graduates well-versed in medical device engineering — capable of solving medical problems through innovating, manufacturing, and maintaining medical equipment and devices by applying engineering principles and technologies in the medical field.
