About the Department The Department of Civil & Construction Engineering Technologies is one of the departments of the College of Technical Engineering at the Islamic University of Najaf Al-Ashraf. Established in 2016, the department was founded in response to the pressing need to supply the country with technically specialized cadres in civil and construction engineering, particularly given the significant urban development in Najaf Governorate — an important religious tourism center visited by millions — requiring qualified cadres capable of designing and executing its tourist, industrial, religious, and administrative facilities. The department grants a Bachelor of Engineering degree after four years of study, and its graduates are qualified to design and execute construction projects, with familiarity in modern engineering and management methods in the field of construction.
